The Gansito was a design, sales and advertising success that even became an institutional symbol.听

Even though听cholate-covered snack cakes, cream- and jam-filled and with chocolate sprinkles听were听not an entirely new idea,听an听innovation听emerged听from how they were made.听

The first Gansitos snack-cake order Marinela filled was for 500 units and took 8 hours鈥檒abor听to confect, since most of the process was done by hand.听

The听confection听managed a perfect combination of听a听cake听base, strawberry jam, cream, chocolate and nut听(later chocolate)听sprinkles. Soon enough it became听Marinela鈥檚听most emblematic听pastry.
