In 1990, GB acquire several Latin American corporations such as Chile鈥檚听Alesa听and Holsum,听Venezuela鈥檚 leading baked goods company; they set up Bimbo in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Argentina and Peru.听
In Colombia, GB听formed a partnership with Noel, the nation鈥檚 most important cookie-baker; it bought Brazil鈥檚 Plus Vita in 2001.
Now Bimbo asserted leadership throughout Latin America.
